RunUp is operated by RunUp Sports LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company ("RunUp," "we," "us," or "our"). RunUp Sports LLC is responsible for the personal information described in this Privacy Policy. We respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we may share it, and the choices you have regarding your information.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

RunUp may collect information you provide directly, including:

  • First and last name
  • Email address
  • Mobile phone number
  • Account/login information
  • Preferred location
  • Notification preferences
  • Event registrations and RSVPs
  • Waitlist activity
  • Waiver acceptance
  • Payment and transaction information
  • Communications with RunUp
  • Other information voluntarily provided

Guest users may also provide information necessary to manage a reservation, such as name, email, mobile number, waiver information, and event details.

RunUp may also collect limited technical information such as device type, browser, IP address, pages viewed, referring pages, and general site usage.

HOW WE USE INFORMATION

RunUp may use information to:

  • Create and manage accounts
  • Process reservations and RSVPs
  • Manage waitlists
  • Record waiver acceptance
  • Provide event information
  • Send confirmations and important run updates
  • Process payments when live payments are enabled
  • Provide receipts

  • Understand demand by location, venue, format, and event

EMAIL AND TEXT COMMUNICATIONS

RunUp may send essential service communications related to a user's account or event, including:

  • Account verification
  • Password resets
  • Reservation confirmations
  • Cancellations
  • Time or venue changes
  • Park-run status changes
  • Waitlist updates
  • Payment information and receipts
  • Important account or safety notices

Users may separately choose whether to receive optional marketing or community communications, including new-run announcements, Gym Night announcements, Free Park Run announcements, tournaments and special events, RunUp news, promotions and discounts, and partner offers.

Promotional email and text preferences can be managed in My Account. RunUp does not automatically enroll users in promotional text messages without clear consent.

PAYMENTS

RunUp may use a third-party payment processor for paid events. RunUp does not store complete credit-card numbers, CVV codes, or similar sensitive payment credentials.

RunUp may retain transaction-related information such as:

  • Amount
  • Payment status
  • Transaction reference
  • Event/reservation
  • Refund status
  • Payment date

While RunUp remains in demo/test payment mode, no real payment data is processed.

WAIVERS AND EVENT RECORDS

RunUp may retain records showing that a participant reviewed and accepted an event waiver, including the participant's name, event, date, and acceptance status, for legal, safety, insurance, or operational purposes.

INFORMATION SHARING

RunUp does not sell personal information.

RunUp may share limited information with service providers that help operate the platform, such as:

  • Website/hosting providers
  • Authentication providers
  • Email and SMS providers
  • Payment processors
  • Analytics providers
  • Other technology vendors

RunUp may also disclose information when required by law, legal process, fraud prevention, safety concerns, or enforcement of RunUp policies.

LOCATION INFORMATION

RunUp may collect a user's selected city, ZIP code, or general area to display relevant basketball runs and understand local demand.

Unless RunUp later adds a specific feature requiring precise location access, the platform does not continuously track a user's precise physical location.

COOKIES AND ANALYTICS

RunUp may use cookies or similar technologies to:

  • Keep users signed in
  • Remember preferences
  • Measure site usage
  • Improve performance
  • Understand engagement

DATA RETENTION

RunUp may retain information as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain business and financial records, satisfy insurance or legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the platform.

SECURITY

RunUp uses reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect personal information, but no website, database, or electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Users are responsible for protecting their account credentials and should contact RunUp if they suspect unauthorized account access.

USER CHOICES

Users may be able to review or update account information and communication preferences through their RunUp profile.

Users may also contact RunUp regarding questions or requests related to their personal information.

CHILDREN AND MINORS

RunUp is currently intended for users 18 years of age and older.

RunUp does not knowingly allow children under 18 to independently register for or participate in events through the current platform.

If RunUp later introduces youth programming, RunUp will establish separate parent/guardian consent, privacy, safety, registration, waiver, and supervision procedures before accepting minor participants.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

RunUp may integrate with third-party services such as maps, payment processors, email providers, SMS providers, and social-media platforms. Those services maintain their own privacy practices.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

RunUp may update this Privacy Policy as the platform grows or its practices change. The updated policy will be posted on the website with a revised effective date.
