Effective date: October 2026
TERMS OF USE.
Welcome to RunUp. RunUp is operated by RunUp Sports LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company (“RunUp,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the RunUp website, accounts, reservations, Park Runs, Gym Nights, communications, and related services.
By creating an account, making a reservation, joining a waitlist, checking in to an event, or otherwise participating in a RunUp activity, you agree to these Terms.
1. ELIGIBILITY
RunUp is currently intended for individuals 18 years of age or older.
You must provide accurate account and contact information and may not create an account for another person without authorization.
RunUp may introduce separate youth programming in the future under different registration, consent, supervision, and waiver requirements.
2. RUNUP ACCOUNTS
An account is required to RSVP for, reserve, pay for, join the waitlist for, or check in to a RunUp event.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity associated with it.
RunUp may suspend or restrict accounts that violate these Terms, create safety concerns, abuse other participants, misuse payment or booking systems, or repeatedly interfere with events.
3. FREE PARK RUNS
Free Park Runs are organized meetups held at public outdoor courts.
An RSVP reserves a place within the RunUp participant group but does not guarantee that a public court will be available.
Public courts may be occupied, closed, affected by weather, or otherwise unavailable.
Park Run schedules may be delayed, moved, modified, placed on Weather Watch, seasonally paused, or cancelled.
RunUp will make reasonable efforts to communicate changes to registered participants.
4. PAID GYM NIGHTS
Gym Nights are organized basketball sessions held at reserved indoor facilities.
Each Gym Night may contain multiple separately bookable sessions.
Available formats may include:
- 4v4
- 5v5
Session duration, capacity, price, transition time, skill level, number of sessions, and start times may vary by event.
Booking one session does not automatically entitle a player to participate in every session that night.
5. ROTATING TEAMS AND PLAYING TIME
By booking a session, you understand that you may not be on the court continuously for the entire session.
RunUp does not guarantee a specific amount of individual playing time, number of possessions, number of games played, team assignment, or competitive outcome.
RunUp will make reasonable efforts to provide an organized and fair rotation experience.
6. RESERVATIONS AND CAPACITY
Every individual session has its own capacity and roster.
A confirmed reservation applies only to the session or sessions shown in your RunUp account.
Being physically present at the venue does not give you the right to participate in a session for which you are not confirmed.
If another session has availability, you may be able to reserve it through RunUp.
Players may not bypass capacity limits, reservations, or waitlists.
7. PAYMENTS
Prices are displayed before checkout and may vary by event, session duration, venue, format, or other event characteristics.
A paid reservation is not confirmed until the required payment has been successfully completed, unless RunUp has designated the reservation as complimentary or otherwise paid.
RunUp Sports LLC is the merchant for paid RunUp events and may use third-party payment processors to process payments.
8. RUNUP CREDITS
RunUp Credit is issued and administered by RunUp Sports LLC. Certain eligible cancellations, transfers, or price differences may result in RunUp Credit.
RunUp Credit:
- Is tied to the applicable RunUp account.
- May be applied toward eligible future RunUp bookings.
- Has no cash value unless required by law.
- Is not automatically redeemable for cash.
- May not be transferred to another user unless RunUp expressly allows it.
If a player transfers from a higher-priced eligible session to a lower-priced session, RunUp may place the difference into the player’s RunUp Credit balance rather than issue a cash refund.
If a player transfers into a more expensive session, the player must pay the applicable difference before the transfer is completed.
9. TRANSFERS
Players may be permitted to move a reservation to another eligible session when space is available.
Transfers are subject to:
- Capacity
- Waitlists
- Price differences
- Event timing
- RunUp’s cancellation and transfer rules
RunUp may restrict transfers close to an event or where operational circumstances make a transfer impractical.
10. CANCELLATIONS
RunUp Sports LLC administers the cancellation policy for RunUp events. Players may cancel individual sessions according to the cancellation policy displayed by RunUp.
If multiple sessions are booked within one Gym Night, cancelling one session does not automatically cancel the others unless the player chooses to cancel the entire booking.
Eligibility for RunUp Credit or refunds may depend on when the cancellation occurs and the applicable event policy.
RunUp may cancel, delay, move, or modify an event for reasons including:
- Weather
- Venue availability
- Safety concerns
- Insufficient participation
- Facility closures
- Emergencies
- Circumstances outside RunUp’s reasonable control
RunUp will communicate available credit/refund options when applicable.
11. WAITLISTS
When a session is full, players may be able to join a waitlist.
Joining a waitlist does not guarantee participation.
If a spot opens, RunUp may offer it to the next eligible player for a limited period.
A paid Gym Night waitlist offer may require payment before the reservation becomes confirmed.
If payment is not completed before the offer expires, the spot may be offered to another player.
12. CHECK-IN
RunUp uses in-person event check-in.
Players may be required to scan a RunUp QR code or enter a temporary venue code displayed physically at the event.
The QR code or venue code:
- Does not create a reservation.
- Does not bypass payment.
- Does not bypass a waitlist.
- Does not grant access to sessions the player has not booked.
Players generally check in once for the overall RunUp event. Individual session attendance may be tracked separately.
Sharing or attempting to misuse check-in credentials may result in account restrictions.
13. VENUE INFORMATION
For safety and event-management purposes, RunUp may publicly display only the general event area before a reservation is confirmed.
Exact venue names, addresses, entrance instructions, parking information, or other private event details may be provided only to eligible confirmed participants.
You may not publicly distribute private RunUp venue or check-in information in a way that creates a safety or operational concern.
14. PLAYER CONDUCT
RunUp Sports LLC establishes and enforces the community rules and code of conduct for RunUp events. RunUp participants are expected to treat other players, organizers, hosts, venue staff, and spectators respectfully.
RunUp may remove or suspend a participant for behavior including:
- Fighting or threats
- Harassment
- Discrimination
- Deliberately dangerous play
- Repeated disruption
- Property damage
- Fraudulent bookings or payments
- Unauthorized participation
- Ignoring organizer or venue safety instructions
RunUp may remove a participant from a specific session or restrict future bookings when reasonably necessary for safety or operations.
15. BASKETBALL AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY RISKS
Basketball and other athletic activities involve inherent risks, including falls, collisions, physical contact, and injury.
Participation may also be subject to a separate RunUp Player Waiver and Release of Liability identifying RunUp Sports LLC as the legal entity.
Accepting these Terms does not replace any waiver required for participation.
16. PERSONAL PROPERTY
Players are responsible for their own phones, wallets, clothing, equipment, vehicles, and other personal property.
RunUp is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
17. COMMUNICATIONS
RunUp may send essential communications regarding:
- Reservations
- Payments
- Waitlists
- Event changes
- Venue information
- Weather
- Cancellations
- Check-in
- Account security
Marketing and community announcements are managed separately according to the user’s communication preferences and applicable law.
18. CHANGES TO RUNUP
RunUp may modify its event formats, pricing, features, rules, locations, schedules, membership offerings, or other services over time.
Material changes to these Terms may be communicated through the website or other appropriate means.
19. NO GUARANTEE OF EVENT AVAILABILITY
RunUp does not guarantee that any particular city, venue, format, session time, Park Run, or Gym Night will always be available.
Events depend on venue access, demand, weather, staffing, scheduling, and other operational considerations.
